Sulekha is an online platform enabling interactions among the Indians by listing the businesses in its directory. It was founded by Satya Prabhakar and Sangeeta Kshettry. Param Parameswaran and Harish Raghavan joined its board and helped it raise initial investment from Indigo Monsoon group. Param Parameswaran helped the company focus on its India expansion both in digital and mobile platforms so that the users could connect to the local business services. In 2007, Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) invested in it. The Sulekha Board was joined by Pramod Haque, Senior Managing Partner of NVP. In the Series B round of investment, Mitsui & Company, a Global Fortune 200 company based in Tokyo, financed it with NVP also participating. Further round of investment was through GIC, the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Singapore along with NVP also participating in April 2015.
